Our 2026 Calendar Featuring the Great Glen Way and Isle of Skye

GGW

This last summer, we undertook our 8th Long Ways hike along the Great Glen Way linking Fort William to Inverness Scotland. This hike started about 500 meters from the end point of our 2019 excursion along the West Highland Way. After 80+ miles, we treated ourselves to a full-day excursion to the Isle of Skye, a bucket-list event for anyone visiting Scotland.

It was the summer in the Highlands, and everywhere we went the flowers of the trail were in stark contrast to the always ominous skies of Scotland. Along this journey, Eric recorded hundreds of photos that showcase the amazing and rugged beauty of this area. We want to share the views he experienced through the lens of his camera with you. So we have prepared this 2026 calendar of our journey.

The Golden Harvest, although it is often also referred to as the Old Boat of Caol, or the Corpach Wreck - the first of many surprises along the Great Glen Way.

Eric, Devin, and Michael all have day jobs at Inspire EdVentures, a company founded by Eric and Michael to build inspirational educational materials for learners of all ages. Our travels on The Long Ways inspire us to explore our world, build new adventures, and inspire young learners.
